Who is going to be treating me?
You are going to be treated by a GDC registered dentist .According to regulations set by General Dental council Only GDC registered dentist can prescribe a teeth whitening treatment which can be carried out by a Dentist , dental therapists or hygienists.Beware of Sham practices carrying out such procedures at cheap prices.
Are the results of the whitening permanent?How long do they last for?
It is usual for the shade improvement to last a few years. This time period can be extended by a regular maintenance program with occasional top up sessions of our home based whitening systen used in combination with regular visits to your dental hygienist.
What effect does whitening have on existing crowns and bridges?
In general, only natural tooth tissues whitens and so your bridge, crowns etc will not change shade.We at London Smile Kraft do a detailed examination of the existing crowns and bridges and make sure we brighten your smile to match with the colour of your restorations.In general we also advice patients to have their restorations made after the whitening treatment,so that your dentist can match their shade to your newly bright teeth
Does the gel cause any harm to the existing restoration in the mouth? Will the gel whiten my crowns or false teeth?
The gel consist of a bleaching agent which can cause potential harm to the restorations.We at London Smile Kraft protect the existing restoration using a composite barrier to prevent any harm.
Is the treatment painful?
Some users may experience sensitive teeth after the procedure. The degree of sensitivity is dependent on each individual. Any discomfort is usually temporary and should subside soon after the procedure.We at London Smile Kraft use a desensitizing agent at the end of the procedure to prevent any sensitivity.
How soon will I see results?
The results are seen instantaneously at the end of the procedure and do get lighter over the next few days as the gel is still active. Our aim at London Smile Kraft is to achieve the Beta 1 shade for every patient and our superior products and expertise do help us achieve that in every patient.
Is this process harmful to my teeth?
No this procedure is extremely safe and does not harm your teeth.It just opens the pores of your teeth removing all the unwanted pigments and stains resulting in a brighter smile.
Can I whiten my teeth while I'm pregnant?
We at London Smile Kraft do not recommend the use of whitening product whilst pregnant.
Can I have have my teeth whitened if I am younger then 18 years?
No ,we do not recommend children under 18 to get their teeth whitened as the structures of the teeth have not yet completely developed.
Can I whiten my teeth if I have gum problems?
We at London Smile Kraft recommend patients with gum problems to go for a hygiene visit before getting your teeth whitened to reduce any inflammation of the gums and prevent any damage.
